Hey y’all I have a 2016 4Runner with almost 94000 miles that has a weird engine sound when idling. And I’m assuming it’s always there but I can’t really hear it at highway speeds. I have a sound recording of it, if I can post it. I haven’t had a chance to hook up my scan tool to it, not sure if it would point anything out, but was hoping to get some thoughts on it before I take it to the shop. Thanks

First things first remove all the fan belts and see if the noise goes away pray it's that and it's something that it drives like alternator water pump something. If not it would be internal to the engine and that stuff gets expensive like bad bearings or something like that
