[Solved] Escalade/Denali or Navigator

Okay okay okay, I get that I'm basically asking what is better - a crappy truck or a crappier truck. LOL. Please don't tell me I should by a Lexus or Acura or whatever. I'm in the market for a used 2010ish huge luxury SUV and am eyeballing Escalades, Yukon Denali's (basically the same as Escalade,) or a Navigator. Does anyone have an opinion on between these options what would be more reliable and a better value? If so, why? Thanks!

Well...I didn't go with either one lol. I found a killer deal on an Infinifi QX56, the most loaded one. So I went with that. It's quite comfortable!

Be wary of the Navigator: many people don't realize they use air-ride suspension which is trouble-prone and hugely expensive when it goes out.

You're buying for flash....as that's the only reason you're looking at these trims of SUV. So buy the Escalade and be done with it. It will have problems, absolutely no doubt, and they'll be more expensive than you're willing/able to pay to fix...also absolutely no doubt.

But I get the feeling this purchase is based on the ability to say "I drive a ()" in conversations and is essentially an image purchase. With that in mind, buy the one you originally wanted anyway (the Escalade) and be happy. Just know that you've got massive repair bills waiting in the wings. But that's the price of flexing.

And forget value. There is NO VALUE in large luxury SUV's. They are all overpriced gas guzzlers.

Of the two I would go Navigator.

I would go Navigator all the way with a V8 engine (make sure it ain't the 5.4 or an EcoBoost v6). Escalades and Yukon Denalis have fallen off a cliff reliability and quality-wise since the early 2000s

I would also go with the Navigator and not look back.
