[Solved] Exhaust gases in coolant

Hello there!

I've been experiencing an issue since one day when my Opel Vectra 1.9 CDTI with 120HP and 380,000 KM on the manual transmission hit a constant 3000 RPM.

For the past 4 months, I've been puzzled by what's happening with my cylinder head or head gasket. I've noticed a strange, volatile foam in the expansion tank. When I exceed 2500 RPM, this foam intensifies significantly, and the coolant level rises substantially, changing from pink to purple in color (even though the temperature remains normal). I conducted a CO2 test, and it came back positive. It's important to note that I haven't experienced any overheating, unusual emissions, or a mixture of oil and coolant. Occasionally, at idle (though not consistently), I see a few small bubbles. I'm contemplating using a sealant since it seems that the pore or leak is not very large. Is this a good idea? If so, which sealant would you recommend?

On another note, I want to mention that my turbo actuator is currently inoperative and needs repair, so my engine is running without turbocharging. I plan to repair it this week. My question is, could this issue with exhaust gases in the coolant potentially worsen due to the lack of turbocharging?

Thank you very much!

I'm reluctant to share the following video because it's about a silicate based product. If your coolant is mixing with your oil this will ruin your engine. Here's Scotty's video:

You got exhaust gas in the coolant odds. Are you got a blowing head gasket? And if you do fix the turbocharged the problem will only be worse with that extra pressure

Thank you, Scotty. I'm fairly convinced that the cylinder head gasket has some sort of issue, although it's not alarming, it's there. The option of a sealant like the ones I've seen on your YouTube channel intrigues me. Which brand would you recommend? I have seen brands like K SEAL, Rislone etc.

Other way around, more pressure = bad.

Scotty has mentioned using Bar's Leak on occasion for temporarily stopping head gasket leaks.

The only way to actually solve the problem is to replace the head gasket.
