Mostly hear it while idling. can only hear it from outside the car, not inside.
Think it's the metal rods that hold the muffler up.

Could it be a loose heat shield somewhere? Mine started to rattle over the cat, I drilled a small hole in the corner where it was loose and bolted it back together. Check around the system for any loose heat shields. I think on those there's one by the muffler, and one where it goes up & over the rear axel. Those types of rattles are usually like frequency (rpm) dependent. Mine would do it around 2k pulling up my steep driveway.
