Hey Scotty, I know this has been asked a lot but still can you recommend me a reliable ,first ,not too expensive car, with somewhat of good maintenance cost.

Clarification: what type of vehicle (sedan, coupe, crossover, SUV, truck, etc.)?

New or used?

If new, I’d go with the cheapest Honda, Toyota, Mazda, or Subaru.

Used probably.

Same brands I’d look for. Generally speaking: Yaris/Vitz, Corolla, Fit, Civic, CHR, HRV, Mazda2, Impreza.

You cant wrong with rare exception with a Honda civic or Toyota Carolla and Accord  or Camry if you want something a little larger

See our Car Buying Guide under FAQ, but you are looking at a Toyota or Honda product (and the sedans/coupes will be cheaper than the crossovers/SUVs, trucks):

Here is a video from Scotty talking about Civic and Corolla's to buy and which years to avoid. If you are one person only I would suggest a Civic or Corolla since they are usually less expensive than Camry or Accord and you won't need something that big. And they are known for having low maintenance cost.
