This app doesn't seem to be much help. The module plugs into the OBD port and reports findings via bluetooth. It does list issues found but does not offer any real help for the DIY. To get the real story you have to pay extra. It actually seems to be nothing more than a portal to refer you to a mechanic. Am I just using this app wrong or did I get suckered?
Get a bluedriver, best bang for the buck!
I agree with nick20s.
I spent almost $100 for all the cheap scan tools I own and I wish I bought a Bluedriver scan tool instead.
the free update and all the capabilities this scan tool has, you can not find any other even close to it.
I really don't think so you can get better things and if you spend another $40 you can get the blue driver which gives insane data
Hey Scotty, been loving your videos for a long time! I have owned several OBD scanners over the years, and was wondering what your thoughts were on this one:
Get FIXD Diagnostic Sensor Today
You depend on your car, and your car depends on you. Quickly see problem descriptions, severity, and repair cost directly on your smartphone to keep your car healthy without spending $1,000s.
Just saw an add for it, and was thinking of picking one up. Thanks, and keep posting the great content!
Is the Fixd OBD2 diagnostic device and App worth $59?
Fixd doesn't make sense to me because they command a monthly subscription to unlock all the features. I have a lot of cars and I prefer to own things rather then rent them, so I got the BlueDriver instead. Works nicely with my iPhone, no extra charges, very responsive tech support, reads all the modules on my cars, gives me live data, lists relevant service bulletins and recalls... only downside is how easy it is to forget it in a car, so it needs a lanyard or something tied to it.
I have worked on my car for minor things (oil changes, spark plugs, maintenance items) but never needed a scan tool as the check engine light never comes on - even on 12 year old cars I have owned with about 200,000 miles on them. Still, I keep thinking I should get a simple one. Recently I have seen a lot about the Fixd scan tool and these claims how well it works. Has anyone on this board tried it and has an opinion on it? Thank you.
It is now 2024, is the Bluedriver app still the best? I have been mostly happy with my $10 Pentalong Bluetooth OBD interface and a $2.49 Car Scanner Pro, but I've been getting weird codes for my Prius and I am about to switch from Android to iOS.
