Unless it’s a fraction of your net worth no I wouldn’t buy one. Only a fraction of those trucks are actually used for what they are built for. Most of the time it’s a doctor or some executives pavement queen. Wouldn’t tow with it, it’s not a work truck. It’s a off-roading beast. They hold value decent because of their early popularity.  the new ones with that crazy 3.5 Ecoboost has so much plumbing in it and the tech it has which by the way American manufacturers don’t use quality electronic components. It’s just got so much stuff that wears out and costs insane amounts to fix/ replace. As I said I would only buy one if i could pay cash for it and it was such a small portion of my net worth it wouldn’t bother me. 

The only one even worth considering to get were the 2010-2014 with the 6.2L NA V8 and 6-speed AT.
