David from Australia. I have 2013 Ford Territory Diesel V6 2.7L which has an oil leak. One mechanic said it was the rear main seal and changed a new seal. There's still a leak, I went to Ford and they have said previous mechanic is wrong and the oil comes from the oil cooler and drips down hence why he thought it was the main seal. They have quoted me $3245 to replace the oil cooler and injector return line. They say it's not a very common problem with this guy so unlucky.
The car was $20,000 AUD and has had a lot of issues that needed repairing already - rear and front bushes, diff bushes, tail shaft.
Can you advise if this oil cooler repair sounds right, a lot of money to spend on an older car.

The dealers usually charge more, you better off finding an honest independent mechanic and have him check the car and give you a quote.
