Hey Scotty-
I have a 2007 Pontiac G5 with 145,000 miles on it (by the way, see a lot of G5's and G6's, but very few Chevrolet Cobalts). I received some inheritance money and am thinking about buying a used Ford transit- one of the lower ceiling ones. I want to use it to travel on road trips and vacations a few times a year, and the farthest I drive to work is about one mile, and then within 30 miles to family. What's your opinion of the ford transit? do they cost a fortune to work on? I saw your video on 'van life' and agree that living in a van would stink. Literally and metaphorically. My idea behind the transit is to spend a few days, maybe a week or something out in West Virginia or maybe down south and then return home to Michigan. I try to keep up regularly on vehicle maintenance. PS: NOT buying an electric car.
Well, I'm not really a Ford Transit fan. They can be okay when they knew but when they're old they generally can get worn out and you're buying a used Transit van. Usually they've had the hell beating out of them and you're buying something that's got problems. If you are thinking about it definitely have a mechanic me check it out before any money changes hands
