Front Crankshaft Seal

I have a 1996 Toyota Previa with 199,800 miles. The front crank shaft seal has a leak drip. I viewed the Scotty Kilmer video from years past about AT-205 Reseal as something you recommended works for sealer and gasket leaks. It looks like now the product is called ATP-205 Reseal.  What I want to know is do I put that ATP-205  fluid in the motor oil reservoir or the transmission reservoir to stop a leak in the front crankshaft seal?

Thank you

It goes wherever you put you engine oil, but it won't last long.  The front main seal leaks because it's worn out and excessive crankcase pressure, usually caused by a non-functioning PCV valve.  Which is why I use a new PCV valve at every oil/filter change.  The correct fix is a new seal and either a new harmonic balancer or using a repair sleeve on the balancer to compensate for the groove worn into it.

Sometimes instead of using a sleeve you can set the seal in at a different depth to avoid the worn area on the crank.

Pretty sneaky, Chuck.

I agree, I wouldn't either.
