Fuel pressure hard start

Hello Scotty,

I'm loosing fuel pressure fast when I turn off my 95 grand cherokee.  I've found that if I jumper the fuel relay to send power to the pump before I start it, it starts right up. The relay doesn't get power when the key is turned to the run position but it does after it is started.

Whats happening? Is it a bad check valve or something electrical?

Thanks.

Joe

Inspect the Cranks Position Sensor, if its defective it can shut of the fuel pump.

I have no Idea, but with that being said: I have never seen a modern fuel injected auto that did not prime in the run position. If you do not get prime when you take the key from off to run, YOU have diagnosed the problem.

@larry
Thanks Larry, now to figure out why. I’m currently bypassing it for every start. 😂
