Scotty, what's your opinion of Royal Purple full synthetic? Is it worth the price? I've never used it, but a buddy of mine swears by it. I currently use Castrol High mileage synthetic blend. Thanks.
You'll find several motor oil tests on the Project Farm channel. Although the tests are not done under actual engine operating conditions they can provide a relative comparison between different brands and types. (For most people and vehicles any of the leading brands of oil meeting the vehicle manufacturer's specifications are perfectly fine.)

I don't know the price, but probably not. The Castrol is fine as long as it meets the specification in your manual. We have a whole article about it in the FAQ.
