I've never tried that particular one but I've tried other ones out and often they're scam or they can damage your vehicle. The only person who should mess with tuning in a car is a professional technician who has a dynamometer and a five gas analyzer and knows what the heck he's doing when he reprogram stuff

I don’t believe in “quick tune, get instant xx horsepower” with a plug in device like that.  I would pass on it;  also, even if it worked you’d potentially be sacrificing some reliability (can engine internals handle the power?)  and set yourself up for headaches down the line.  You want more power, do it right (which also involves $$$).

Listen to Scotty on this. I've come across a ton of these "tuners" on cars I've had to repair.

I do custom tunes at my shop. I have a very expensive dyno, a specialized computer, and other specialized equipment needed to tune a car correctly. We tune on the machine, in a controlled environment, and we make a tune for your car specifically, with your exact modifications. These little tuners basically mess with your timing and do not take anything like that into consideration. This results in damage to the engine, transmission, and/or other systems.

We have been able to get more horsepower and more torque than any of these devices actually puts out, and we do it safely. Fuel trim adjustments, shifts, spark advance/retard.......there is so much to it that these devices ignore.

If you want a solid, safe tune find yourself a good shop with a dyno in your area. Searching enthusiast forums will reveal info on other's experiences in your area and likely guide you towards a good tuner.

I always say to stay away from these chips/OBDII plug ins.
