Should I buy a 3rd gen Mustang

So as a 2013 Mustang owner with the Gen 1 5.0, I was wonder if it is worth the upgrade to go to the Gen 3 2018 5.0 for my next car or keep what I have. I personally have had mine since 16k miles, and was wanting to put a supercharger on it for more power. I know Gen 3s are very good for making power, especially with E85, but these newer Fords are very iffy and was wanting a second opinion on the engines themselves and possible future modding.

I haven't really looked into these engines that much but I have heard and read these engines do fine with bolt ons. Also they handle supercharger just fine as long you don't push the power figures to high and everything is tuned properly.

Just know when you modify a engine anything can happen at anytime. One guy might supercharge and run at 14 pound with no issues. The next guy might do the same but only 6 pounds and blow the engine. You never know how your engine will handle the extra power.

Again modified engines are unpredictable especially if they aren't fully built and designed for high power numbers. Even if a stock engine can handle 200 to 300 hp more doesn't mean your engine can . So if you want to run forced induction on stock engine find a good tuner shop who deals with American cars and have them advise you on power numbers on stock engine.
