I was bamboozled back in March of Last year I brought a 2011 Mazda 6. From a Chevrolet dealership, I thought everything check out great no problems. Once I got into the car I test drove it then took it home I realized the jerk when shifting. Thought it was a aftermarket park something crazy me. So Long story short I took to Mazda dealership got the diagnosis. Come and find out it watch the transmission switch need to be replaced. It was other problems but not to serious the dealership gave me around took two weeks to repair it. Every since I been having problems dump about 2k into it. My overall question is once I trade it in should I get another Mazda?
I’m pretty sure Mazda had the highest reliability score from consumers last year. Toyota has part ownership with them too. And they are luxurious and stylish without a luxury brand price. I think it would be a good idea to buy a new one. Mazda has definitely stepped up their game in the last few years
According to Scotty, newer Mazdas are better built, starting after their partnership with Ford ended in 2015.
2011, Mazda was still in the Ford partnership, not their best times. I'll leave it at that.
Yep,
The old 6 is just a rebadged Ford Fusion, a rough time for Mazda. But somehow it’s still better than their latest Mazda 3…
I would agree with the others. Newer Mazdas are much better. I would not get any Mazda pre 2013. I have a 2015 Mazda and would have no problem buying another one, except for a model with cylinder deactivation
I wouldn’t have gotten the older Mazdas. Over the last 8 years they have made great strides in terms of reliability, especially after their partnership with Toyota, and are right up there now behind Toyota and Honda. Just avoid the ones with cylinder deactivation.
