Good cars in $5000-$6000 Range?

I’m looking for a used car to upgrade from my current 2002 cavalier, in the ~5-6000$ Range, and spotted this Altima.

 I am aware they ussually aren’t such good cars, but will low miles make this a good car? I’m planning to own the next car for ~2 years and put ~7,500 miles/year on it. Also what are some other good cars in this price range? I live in queens, NY, and drive on the highway a lot, 36 miles a day ~5 days a week, but also do some city driving so the car is subject to harsh NY conditions. Any other suggestions for a car in this range? Thanks so much.

Do not think about buying that Altima that is a ton of mileage for an Altima the transmission goes out at around 100k miles that is the max life it costs 4 5 6 grand to fix. Look for a good 2003-2006 Camry, 2004-2008 Corolla, or 2009-2011 Civic. Don't even think about Nissans.

I made a post with links for good cars on craigslist by owner check them out!

Thanks so much for the advice!

Don’t even think about it! 72,000 miles is not low mileage for an Altima!

Get a good used Corolla/Civic for that money. As with any used car, have a mechanic check out the car thoroughly, before you buy it.

Toyota camry or corolla. Those cars will last the test of time

Thanks for the advice! Have a amazing day!

@Stiletto No worries at all!
