Recommend a handicap van

I'm going to need a handicap van for myself. I have LGMD-2A muscular dystrophy, currently able to drive normal automotive vehicles with the use of any devices. I will be eventually needing to use a wheelchair as my disease progresses.

What brand or model van would you suggest for reliability? I'd prefer to buy a used van, Ideally have a sliding door on driver's side to have access to a electric wheelchair.

Siennas are pretty close to bulletproof, and they are very popular for conversions

I would have  Toyota Sienna converted  for that.

is that enough headroom when sitting in a wheelchair?

I would think so. There is an option where the front seat is removed and there are rails left for the wheelchair.

Yes, usually Siennas have enough headroom - As far as I know they got about 5' from floor to roof.
