Hey Scotty can you please make a video on how to check headlight ballast, my headlight went out some time ago, I replaced the bulb but nothing someone told me it could be the ballast but I don’t want to spend a fortune buying and end up not being the issue. Thanks.

Just use the bulb from the other side and test it in the one that does not work. Conversely you can install the new bulb you bought and test it in the head light that does work.   If the bulbs are both good rest assured the next thing is to test the ballast for voltage outout.  You shoud look for a wiring diagram specific to your vehicle and test the circuits.  If you cannot do that then there is no other recourse but to buy a ballast and install it.  Not saying that is going to cure it as you don't know if the ballast is getting power from the headlight switch. You decide...

You should only have a ballast if you have HID headlights. What kind of car is it? Are you sure you have a ballast? If so do what @dion said. If not its another issue. Some factory cars with HID headlights even come with the ballast built into the back of the headlight.
