Headlight replacement

I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu that has running headlights and they are always going out and trying to replace them is a pain in the butt cause you gotta remove the entire front end just to get to them idk if it’s headlight or might be a wiring issue

I use the regular sylvania basic halogen bulb I always wear gloves before opening the package for the bulb

A lot of headlights these days are absolute junk. Don't even touch Sylvania junk. They don't even last as long as the box says. Get some good ones. (but they're harder to find)

The GE in my vehicle is original I think. Just won't die. (can't find them anywhere)

I'm trying Philips Long-Life right now. So far so good. It's around $2 more than the regular Philips but according to the box they last many times longer so probably worth the cost.

I agree, it's one of THEE worst headlight designs ever. The engineer who designed it should be punched in the face lol. Regarding the issue at hand. The bulbs keep burning out like what every few months? Or more often? When replacing do not touch the bulb at all cause any oils or dirt from your fingers could shorten the lifespan significantly, alternatively since you need to replace them anyway try switching the brand, I never had issues with phillips and since you be down there you would also be able to inspect the wiring as well, it is on the rare-er side of things though since lightbulbs nowadays use almost no power to run, especially day time running lights.

Get good quality LED ones.

I bought the sylvania silverstar ultra healights and they perform as equal as the ones I have on my car. Any recommendations of brands or overall any good white headlights you guys have bought?
