Early Ford Ranger

Hi, before I take it to a mechanic I want to see if I can find the problem myself if it is an easy fix.

so my car headlights stopped working but the lamps are okay, I know that because the high beam that signals works fine but the normal light and the regular high beam don't work when I turn on the headlights I hear a click between the dash and the engine I have checked all the fuses and they ok, but I don't know where the relay is.

Does anyone know what the problem is, and if it is the relay, where can I find it in this model?

The problem was from the Steering column switch, it fixed now.

aren't they two different filaments?

IDK the high beam after the low beam doesn't work, but when I signal the high beam alone it works fine.

and the light symbols of the beams on the dash don't appear when I turn them on.

right. What I'm saying is that maybe the bulbs are not ok. The low beams could be burned out while the high beams are not because they are separate. You need to find wiring schematic and test for 12V on the low beam circuit.

@imperator I didn't even consider his headlight issue. I want his diesel Ranger

So it is. I just noticed the air box. Are they good engines.

Mechanically they're good. You can keep them running for a long time

Are you saying that both your low beams went out at the same time?
