Mr. Kilmer Scotty I hope your doing well, I am sorry for the trouble but I need your help. I own a 1996 Toyota Camry 2.2l 4 Cylinder Engine with 122,540 miles that started to give me a true headache. Whenever I drive in the highway, if I let off the throttle all of a sudden I feel sort of like a kick in the throttle pedal and slowing down my tachometer needle starts to drop and my car begins to shake really hard and if I don't give it gas it dies, sometimes showing oil light, battery, check engine light, a combo of the three or sometimes no lights come on at all. It only happens when I take my car on the highway if I drive in the city I have no problems. I have only one check engine code and it's P0172 Bank 1 System Too Rich, I do have a problem with my car using up a lot more gas.
I will leave a website that I've found in case I don't explain myself well enought, three people there talk about the same problem that I have but no solutions.

The three members in that website that have the same problem as me are as follow
AWENDS86
STALLING96CAMRY
CHRISSLAIGHT
I have replace Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, Air Filter, CT Sensor, Air Intake as well as cleaned the Throttle Plate and Flushed out old Coolant.
Mr. Kilmer Scotty Please HELP I don't know what it can be.
G.T. Sorry for not replying and thanking you for your help. I checked the video but my my car did not due anything Scotty said if you have anymore suggestions, whenever it is possible please let me know. I don't know if I said this but I can usually tell when my car's tachometer needle will start going to zero because I feel a kick when I let off the throttle.
As I understand, you have idling problems. I found a Scotty's video about that too.
Good luck!

G.T. Nothing buddy I did that twice it did not fix anything. Any sensors that you know go bad in a 1996 Camry 2.2l that control or measure RPMS or perhaps how to adjust the throttle cable.
Have you had the timing belt changed? Higher RPM’s can cause a stretched belt to advance the timing, when you let off the gas the slack snaps back and retards the timing.
Willing to bet its an electrical issue. Either the connection to the alternator or the grounds. Or the alternator itself.
The code is probably unrelated.
Cjbman you are most likely right I've checked all ground I can see as well as the wires and everything checks out great.
I used this video that Scotty posted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFCCF6extfQ and all three Battery, Starter and Alternator are in good condition.
Thanks Cjbman
About the only parts not changed are at the gas tank.
jimz yup its on my to do list. I am currently looking for a way to test if I need to replace fuel pump, then if I need to how to replace it and buying the best fuel pump I can get for my car.
Thanks jimz
