My 2022 Toyota Tacoma’s grill, grill surround, front bumper, and rear sliding glass window surround melted when I only had it five months. Toyota blamed the mirrored office building where I worked. They paid for the parts and the dealership provided the labor as a goodwill warranty. The same parts started melting again after 4 months but I no longer work at nor park near the mirrored office building and Toyota has refused to repair again. Have you made any progress with Toyota on melting parts? I have owned quite a few Toyotas. Between this issue and the absolutely horrendous customer service at two dealerships in San Antonio, I will probably never own another. Buyer beware! I have gone into two Toyota body shops three times each even with appointments and they never have the estimating staff there and they provide incomplete estimates if you get one at all. They do not care when they have a six month wait list!
I will probably never own another.
If you think this is bad, then wait until you buy a GM or Chrysler product. Or a money pit European car.
All cars are becoming cheap and disposable, but Toyota still makes the most reliable cars.
Don't pay if not your fault.
