Hesitating when uphill again

Hi S, My beloved 99Buick RegaL GSE w supercharger has started hesitating a little when driving uphill again.  It did this once before, after i had filled gas tank on cold day at gas station X in fall 2018.  I strongly suspected bad gas or tampering. So I changed my tank cap lock..  this problemt lasted for many months. Many seafoams later the annoying hesitance disappeared comeatly.  Then this August 2020 through oct 2020 i drove the car alot in hot weather as a rural census worker. She still ran well. But two wks later after work stopped, cooler weather set in and i happened to fill tank at that station X again but with a lucas fuel injecter cleaner additive [ because i was thrilled one week prior with the cataclean self treatment results] she started that weak knees act again going up the incline on my drive home. So Was it the poor quality gas from station X (I have stopped using hi octane in general since 2015 due to low income in michigan, even though its prescribed by GM and was all she ever got for her first 15 yrs).  Or was it the lucas additive?  Or the colder weather return combined with carbon buildup post recent heavy usage?  Pls share your thoughts.  It's time again for the seafoam im guessing..or find a good shop with that special carbon cleaning machine you mentioned? Return to hi octane? Btw  Dont know total mileage--cluster light went dark circa 2014.  Shes 21 yo now..1 owner -- me. Bought in palo alto CA. Still no rust after 7 yrs in michigan.  Thanks. Youre awesome.

You've got a pretty old ride but I car with a supercharger shouldn't have trouble going up a hill unless the cars weight it something insane or the belt on the supercharger is slipping and resulting in no boost. I would check the basics first, check for leaks both liquid and vacuum, Load test the battery, check the air filter and check the fuel pressure it might be that fuel pump is going out and just starving the engine of fuel but you'll have to check it to be sure. And a good scan of the car would be a good idea as well

Thank you. I will follow up woth your suggestioms. I actially stopped clicking on the superchgr because im not sure it still works. I feel it needs to be checked as well at some point. I live in boonies far from hi end garages.

Yea then best to get everything checked on the car while you have it in. If the supercharger isn't working its not the end of the world but it could explain some of the sluggishness. GL with the getting her fixed!
