I personally do not like loans on cars (specially used ones), but if you are ok with that, first thing to do is to see how much they ask for it.
Is this a Mazda certified car? I mean it doesn't mean much but better than being at a second hand dealership. At any point was the car a salvage? Find history for the car just in any case would be what I think. Other than that, if you really like the car and it suits your needs, why not. Hopefully your deal comes with some sorta warranty... Cause if not walk away now.
NEVER tell a salesman what you want to spend per month. Always go by price, then go from there.

Yes! Only talk numbers when you actually get to the business table...never give them any ideas on the pricing you want.
Don't do it.
There's lots of dealers that sell cars that way, and they don't drive last years car and they own big houses on lots of land.
If you buy under limited financial information, you'll make the seller happy and very, very, very rich, but that's all.
Have you thought of asking the selling price? Or, if you just want to talk about monthly payment, did you ask how many months ?
Or maybe you would want to get some assistance from a real live person (not some stranger on a computer forum) on how to buy a vehicle ?
But it's up to you, your money ...
