Is 2017 RAV4 in Europe with bmw diesel engine worth keeping the suv?

Hi Scotty I have a 2017 RAV4 I stay in Europe it has a bmw diesel engine with a manual transmission every thing is Toyota just the engine made by bmw you think is it worth keeping the suv ? Thanks 


1.6 or 2.0?

As long as it runs good and you have no problems with it...then it's fine. Keep it.

Was the engine put in or did you buy it like that from Toyota with that engine?


It comes with Toyota because Toyota and bmw are partners

I can’t give a clear yes or no. It is the Toyota WW engine, to my knowledge.

The reason I would be hesitant is because the BMW engine the WW is based on had some timing chain issues and EGR issues. 

With that said, Toyota reworked the engine for their needs, and they have higher standards in terms of quality and longevity, than BMW. So that would make it interesting to keep.
