I own a 2005 Toyota Sienna with 109,000. Runs great. Bought it at 91,000 miles. I saw a video on Scotty talking about fuel pumps and filters. So the million dollar question shall be: Is it time to change my fuel filter?
The Sienna apparently has a fuel strainer inside the gas tank, attached to the fuel pump, rather than a conventional fuel filter. That's what rockauto.com lists for it, and that part is shown as callout #23 on this diagram:

I changed the fuel filter after I bought my 2008 Ford Ranger with 73,000 miles on it a couple of years ago and haven't had an issue. The fuel filter is one of those fairly cheap maintenance items that can only help, so I would recommend!
Yes, yours is inside the fuel tank.

If that’s something you can DIY or get done cheaply - sure, it’s almost good to have less stress on your fuel pump.
But on many cars it’s difficult and requires skill - so you can choose not to do it and just replace the fuel pump in another 100,000 miles or so.
On a sienna as far as I know it’s not that big of a deal to replace the filtration system - so I’d do it.
I'm afraid to ask, but would my 2005 Toyota Sienna have it's fuel filter inside the gas tank next to the fuel pump?
