Hi Scotty. I’m planning on buying a Toyota Camry 2013 SE with 47,000 miles. The Toyota dealership is asking for $16,000 final price. The car is in mint condition inside and out. No accidents. Do you think it’s a good deal ??? Thanks

Sounds like a crazy high price for a 12-year-old Camry.
No accidents.
How do you know? Have you had a professional mechanic inspect it?

@chucktobias yes it was inspected by a mechanic. Good shape.
That's good, but it is still overpriced.
@chucktobias you think $14,500 is fair?
Check some comparables in your area.
@chucktobias I did and that’s the best deal I could find in that condition.
Maybe that's what they go for in your area. It sounds really high to me but then again I've never spent that much on a car. Keep in mind that model tends to develop transmission shudder due to torque converter problems.

Regardless of the condition and even if a trusted independent mechanic gives the green light, that's an extremely high price for that car.
@fjcruiser_2014 I’ve noticed a lot of cars went up about 5% recently. I guess I should hold off on it. Finding a 2013 Camry with that many miles is rare.
No matter how rare that mileage is and how good the condition is that's way too much money for that old of a car. Check out the average price of that car and that mileage on websites like kbb and edmunds so you can get an idea (check the price for private party and not dealership)
