High mileage commute

Hey Scottie. I have a 2013 Toyota Venza Le 3.5L

i live in orlando and commute weekly to Miami for work. on average I drive about 700 miles per week. Odometer sits currently at 116k miles. I change the oil and air filter every 5 k miles, what other fluids should I be looking to change on the venza? Every time I get an oil change they try to get me to change a bunch of crap but she runs pretty strong. What would you suggest I do now, that the venza has high mileage?

I recommend looking at the owners manual. It will tell you the mileage that the transmission fluid needs to be exchanged, the coolant needs to be exchanged, the brake fluid needs to be exchanged, and maybe the power steering fluid. All of these will eventually need to be done.

Just guessing here based on other Toyota cars I’ve seen: Most likely the transmission fluid and coolant will need to be changed out.

Dealers will often try to sell unnecessary and overpriced services. Sometimes they may have a deal, but you have to shop around your local dealers and price compare with independent shops to see.

Besides what @Kaizen mentioned, it is also time to change the spark plugs. Just let you know that being a Toyota V6, it is a pretty involved job.
