Hello Scotty, I truly appreciate all your advice. You may not know it but my wife calls you my friend because I speak about you so much, you are like part of the family. My name is John from Colorado and welcome to the Family. I have a 2000 Toyota tundra 4.7L. 215k miles on it. I’m a little concerned because my oil pressure gauge fluctuates almost to the high mark as the Rpm’s go up. It reaches a needles width below the “H”. I changed the oil ran Ats carbon cleaner, and changed the oil sending unit. What would be your next step and Is it still safe to drive it at lower Rpm to keep the oil pressure down? I also replaced the radiator about a month ago but temps are perfect and the oil pressure was high with the old radiator that was leaking as well.
Confirm actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.
