Have any of you seen any Hyundais or Kias close to or beyond 100K miles and they’re still running good with maintenance? (Unless you count the late 2000s and some early 2010s)
I'm sure they are out there, but they are the outliers and not the majority.
Yes, definitely, including a million miles Hyundai. But these are the exceptions, not the norm. Obviously, if you maintain a car well it will last longer, but of course that only goes so far. I got 2 GM vehicles that are beating the odds, but they are still poorly designed/built, and I am not ashamed to admit that. Reliability, durability, longevity have to be designed in/engineered/assembled from the beginning.
I have two of them. A 2008 Veracruz and a 2011 Santa Fe. I do my own work so they have not become money pits. So far here is a lists between both cars. Biggest problem has been the dealers. They all invent problems to fix. My wife and I have gotten very good at saying no. Over the years we have found honest mechanics we use for inspections and stuff I can't do. Service manuals and a lot of parts can be found on line.

They do tend to develop rattles after a while because the plastic dries out. I found double side tape fixes 90% of these little annoying noises.
My co-worker has one of the smaller hybrid Kia SUV's. He drives a lot. He's had it for close to 5 yrs and well over 100k miles. His commute is about 500 miles per week.
