Hey Scotty. Big fan. I recently got hit by a semi and it dragged me and my civic a quarter mile down the interstate. I was hoping you could help me get Hondas attention as it saved my life. All state police were in disbelief. I just thought it would make a great PR chance for Honda.
Wow, I can't believe you survived such a crash in a little honda civic. Were you hurt at all?
Yes I had ulnar nerve reconstruction. And fusion back surgery. I will never be the same. Not received a penny. Paid out on my part and cost me my job earlier this year.
I am so sorry you had to go through that man. You are one tough guy. The semi truck guy should have at least given you a million. I wish you all the best and hope you have the power to overcome such a traumatic part of your life. I too have been in depression for 3 years and still keep on going. First of all, try to take a break from everything and don't get another job yet. Try to get something out of that truck guy that hit you cause he screwed your life up.
Dang, are you okay? That's a brutal crash.
I could hear and feel the frame bend the whole time. PTSD is bad.
And recently it cost me my marriage. I spent time in hospital four times due to suicide risk.
Ps....all legal aspects were found to be the semis fault
I hope you feel better soon and get back on your feet.
I can't believe the semi truck driver doesn't get to pay your surgery bills.
I am suing but so far nothing. They want me to give up.
Damn that sucks. Who wants you to give up?
To be fair, it was a new model. Honda is very good at engineering and I hear a lot of story's like this. They pass crash tests FIRST time instead improving later on. I hope you are alright, your luck really helped you out, and we can all thank Honda's engineering.

Everyone goes through hard times, I hope you can get back on your feet. I guess you surviving this crash is a sign you should look forward to better times ey?
Thanks for support everyone. But without being able to work yet I am so close to going belly up. I have worked since 15 years old. As soon as I am able I will try to work. I just hope I don't give up before then. Thanks all for well wishes.
I wonder why the truck driver needed a quarter mile to stop the vehicle. That's about 400 m.
Good luck and stay safe!
Probably didn’t know he was dragging a Civic. If I’m not mistaken, the driver cannot see a few metres ahead from his front bumper. Draw a straight line from the driver’s eye level to the road surface, passing just above the bonnet of the truck. That’s his line of sight. He probably only realised it after wondering why he was slowing down/sluggish acceleration and maybe heard the Civic driver honking continuously..
I agree a bonnet reduces visibility. When you hit something you probably hear it unless you are not paying attention.
