Hi Scotty,
I have a 2005 Honda CR-V LX 2.4L DOHC with a 4-speed automatic transmission and 153k miles. For a few years now the transmission has been slipping and having trouble with upshifts especially with pickup and from first to second gear (and has gotten worse over time). Surprisingly, I got a check engine light and the code P0797 with my little OBD-II scanner. It described the exact symptoms the car already had, just without the check engine light. I went ahead and replaced the dual linear solenoid with a $50 eBay one and the pickup instantly got better and the shifting was great at lower speeds but again slipping and bouncing at higher RPMs. Even though this is considerably better, I must have not sealed the gasket properly and the automatic transmission fluid is leaking -- I'll be fixing that, but do you have any suggestions regarding the slippage issue that still isn't gone completely?
Add some Lucas anti slip transmission fluid.
