We've been in Eugene, Oregon area for 10 years and can't find an honest, competent mechanic. Actually, we live outside Eugene in the village of Veneta, but we are 10 miles from the big city. All three mechanics here in Veneta are terrible: one double charges on labor and parts (7 hrs labor for 4 hr book rate), the other does shoddy repairs ("forgot" to tighten battery cables, used duct tape to install a switch) and the third is dishonest (dented my car and told me "tough luck") and does unnecessary repairs. Help! Thank you in advance. PS followed Scotty's advice and asked locals, but lots of locals refer you to bad mechanics!
Veneta, Oregon, where every house has a blue tarp on the roof. Just kidding! I used to go to Wholly Automotive on W. 11th but they went out of business. Now, I go to South Valley Customs in Junction City.
