How do I fix a leaking master cylinder on a Nissan Laurel C33 1994. The odometer spun over so the car currently has 1.274million km on it. The master cylinder had a leak before and was replaced and now it’s leaking at the bottom, so all the fluid is dripping out. Before the leak was in the ports for the lines and air was getting in.

Replace that, too. New does not mean known good. The replacement OEM could have been defective.

And, of course, a brake flush and an inspection of the brake lines are in order. If there was rust in the lines, even after the first replacement, that rust could have totalled the replacement.

If there is any place in car maintenance to NOT choose the cheaper option, it is the braking system.

In behalf of those who might be driving or walking on the same road as you, chose OEM parts for your braking system.
