Hi Scotty. Currently I have a 2012 Honda Odyssey that has over 150K miles on it. When we asked for the trade in value at the dealership, they offered us only 1 thousand dollars. Personally I think they should offer more because it runs well, the automatic transmission is still shifting smoothly, the brakes are quiet, and and the ride quality is smooth. The only problem I know that would need servicing in the future is the timing belt, but other than that, I think it should be more than 1 thousand dollars. What do you think is the value of the Honda Odyssey Scotty?
It's worth whatever people are willing to pay for it.
List it online and see what you can get.
I got a call from my dad's friend maybe 5 hours after this post, but they offered us around $5k, so we took there offer and now the Odyssey will be transported to California.
Check KBB for your answer. If the odyssey is running fine and is in good condition, why get rid of it?
The reason why we wanted to get rid of it is because we bought the brand new Honda Odyssey.
I see. Sell it privately, you'll get much more for sure. And you can take your time since you have another car.
I have a friend in California and we agreed on it for $5k a few hours ago
Because you went to a dealer, they will always offer less because in the end they want to make money. The Honda Odyssey is not worth as much as you would think-sorry my friend. The reason behind is because the reliability goes back and forth (along with every other vehicle Honda has made). If I had to say a value- I would go with $8k.
I knew it would be under $10k but at least it's not $1k lol
Hey kesterpaul62, I want to ask you why you say honda's don't have dependability. I have had honda's for years. They have always been very dependable.
Dealers are rip off artists on every level. They would give you $1000 and sell it for $7000.
