Depends on where you go and what you buy. If I remember correctly, you asked this question in another post (with another question) and took the car to the dealer you bought the car from. Here is a suggestion for you: Find an honest mechanic and take the car there to check it for you and find out what needs to be changed and what does not. Also, price around for whatever you plan to buy.
I did ask before. But, I didn't see a way to edit the original post. Do mechanics usually charge to inspect the car? Because the dealership did and that could get pricey.
that would be the "edit" button right under your post.
That seems to go away some time after posting originally. Unless I'm experiencing something other than you. Every time I've posted a question on here the edit button is there right after I make the post. But when I come back later it is gone. Also wanted to note that this isn't my first rodeo on this or other forums. {black}
Maybe we can try an experiment. Edit your post @mountainmanjoe and get back to me. Because I cannot even edit the post I put directly above yours when I replied to @yaser.
I experienced same once. After some time you cannot edit it anymore
It seems you are right. There is a time limit on the edit button. Thanks for pointing that out. Just when you thought you knew everything .... 😆
I think it's normal for shops to charge for diagnostic time. ie. tracking down a problem. Inspecting for safety/condition etc too.
There is a time limit after 5 minutes or so you can not edit the post unless you are a moderator.
You would need to visit another mechanic and get a quote.
