How to clear P0101 and P0172 codes on 2009 Toyota Matrix 122k miles, automatic trans.,1.8 liter
Hello out there! The check engine light came on after I replaced the air box and air filter. I had replaced the air box ( which holds the air filter ) because the one of clips that hold the box closed did not work due to a piece of the box having broken off. I tried cleaning the mass air flow sensor ( with the proper cleaner ) which did not succeed in keeping the codes ( P0101 and P0172) from coming back. Next I replaced the Mass air flow sensor with a new OEM Denso brand sensor. Still no luck with keeping the codes from coming back. Any ideas that are easy to do that doesn't require any specialized tools or skills?
did you take the air filter out of the wrapper? 😆 j/k
