What is the best way to service a 2021 Subaru Outback GDI? Does the subaru have the same construction as the Toyota gasoline direct injection where gasoline is circulated and placed inside and outside... or is carbon build up more likely to happen with the Subaru models?
Will an air oil separator work ? Is there some product that can decease carbon build up?
What's a cheap alternative to having it get serviced by the mechanic by using walnut shell blast or a completely clean intake system??
Thanks !
Heck I'd use a oil air separator on that myself their systems are not the same as Toyota
Another thing with GDIs, Keep the oil clean. Change every 3k mi and I’d replace sparks every 60k mi. And, as Scotty said, catch can.
Another thing that may be beneficial is periodically use that crc intake valve cleaner. It's a cheap preventative measure you can take to avoid too much build up. If you add this to using a catch can, using good oil and changing it regularly, you're all set 🙂
