Hyundai misfires

Hey scotty I have a 2018 elantra sport 1.6L GDI turbo  with a dual clutch trans. I work for hyundai as a apprentice but I have had nothing but troubles with my lemon. I bought it used at 25.000km not long after I noticed start up issues involving no crank for a few minutes until it finally stutters to life, when that happens it will smell like gas. When I took it to work for warranty work they thought it was my ignition module, that did nothing  haha  so they thought spark plugs next... at around 35km same misfires but worse they do the same thing instead doing plugs coil packs and then checking the catalytic converter which was clogged with non burnt gas all changed under warranty. But here I am today asking the professional for help I keep my oil changes regularly battery had been load tested codes that I check for when it happens is just cylinder misfires in #1? What can I do? I have been asking hyundai for help but they have no solution yet ( no surprise) should I get my hyundai scanner from work and get live data? If you could put me in the right direction that would be much appreciated. Have a wonderful day scotty.

Yeah, if you can put the dealer scan tool on that, it may help narrow down the problem.

Start here though -

That's what I'm gunna try next is there any specific data I should be looking for its hard to because it's on start up mostly

Since it’s a Hyundai, I’d actually start with a compression test. On this website alone, you’ll find endless threads about Hyundai engines falling apart with less than 75,000 miles in 5yr old vehicles. Let’s hope it’s nothing major like an injector or worn out engine. https://www.engine-codes.com/p0301_hyundai.html

I've been  pressing hyundai to get involved cuz its become a lemon at this point lmao. Thanks for the link bro

Unfortunately, for Kiyundai vehicles, this sort of shenanigans is actually normal.. This website receives similar questions about serious engine problems in relatively new Hyundai vehicles, almost daily.
