How much do you want out of the vehicle is the main question.

If you like to switch cars every 4 5 years, this could be the car for you assuming a mechanic says its in good mechanical condition

If you want a car to be reliable long-term, you would be better off with (for example) a used Toyota RAV4

You could also decide whether you should consider the 2019 Nissan Rogue SV by checking out how much you are saving. Brand new, it went around $27,000. Assuming it has 60-70% of its life left in it, you are spending 60% of the cost of the new one. It seems good and in reality it is decent but where did the other depreciation go? You know, the one that would make you pay less than the amount of the life left in the car. I'd pay a lot less.

By the way, the most common issue with modern Nissans are transmission failure. The Nissan Rogue is equipped with a JATCO Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission, prone to failure as the car ages. The design has been getting better over the years so you shouldn't have problems before 100k miles.

As for a competitor, for around the same price, you could get a 2016-2018 Toyota RAV4 which would be more reliable in the long run.

If you consider this vehicle, make sure to have a pre-purchase inspection done by a mechanic to make sure of its mechanical shape. Haggle as much as you can. Common advice on this forum: TAKE CARE OF THE TRANSMISSION! Change the fluid religiously and keep up on general maintenance.

No, if you intend to hold onto it for more than 100,000 miles.

Yes, but for a lot less, if you need a knock around vehicle for the next 2-3yrs.

No matter what used car you buy, have it checked out thoroughly by a reputed mechanic, before you buy it.

If your buying it from the dealer you should be buying it certified which means your getting a 100k powertrain warranty for nothing essentially. If you like it then get it just keep up with the maintenance as you should with any vehicle and you should be fine
