I have a 2006 Honda Pilot 4wd. It currently has 196,000 miles on it. I would like to replace front and rear suspension and all components. What kit/manufacture do you recommend for this? Thank you.

OEM is best.

I've had good results with KYB shocks and struts. My old Pontiac Catalina's shocks were beyond shot three years ago. They were the original shocks. I noticed they made new KYB shocks for my Catalina on RockAuto, so based on Scotty's recommendation, I ordered them. Sure enough, they're great shocks.

@justin-shepherd Shocks, I can see replacing them.. given his engine and transmission are in really good shape.

While I agree with @chucktobias on OEM parts being your best choice, I don't think I would risk sinking a large sum of money into a 19 year old Pilot with 200K miles on it. A Honda Pilot (top trim level) in good condition is worth at most $4500 . Don't get me wrong the Pilot is a good vehicle, it's just that trying to extend the life of any vehicle with an influx or parts and money.. well it seldom never works. I would reconsider sinking such a large amount of money into a 19 year old car.

@hixster I can understand that I love this version of the Pilot and am not as enthusiastic with the newer version. The rest of the car is in great shape and I want to drive for as long as I can.

@cateandmiles3 Many of us here drive older cars. I drive a 2011 Camry as my daily and I also drive my 1996 Tacoma at least once a week. Any labor costs I incur are minimal tho. This is because I will perform any task I can. If your Pilot's in great shape and has been otherwise well maintained, you could get several more years out of it easily.
