Is it written into your warranty agreement?
Do you think you need alignment? What are the symptoms? What are the indicators?Did you ask them to check it for you?
Anyway, … if you didn't, ask them what prompted their suggestion? Ask them to explain the evidence that your car needs alignment? How do they know your car needs alignment? Did they placed your car on the rack? What are the readings off the rack? How do these compare with manufacturer’s specifications?
Anyway, … what I’m saying is: … they have to demonstrate to you why they are suggesting an alignment!
In the end, your car may very well be out of alignment, … it may be your fault, or it may be a manufacturers fault, … but you have a right to be informed. Insist on it, … it’s an information honest service department should gladly supply you with.
