Hey Scotty I have a 91 accord with around 325k miles on it.
It's a manual and I just lost first gear, i was wondering if I should get the transmission rebuilt or if I should just get a new car?
Get a new car man, use that money to buy a new/ newer accord. Even the same year but less miles would be cheaper than a trany rebuild. Just my opinion

I think the rebuild will cost more than your car is worth.

Transmission rebuilding (especially correctly) would cost double even triple the amount the car is worth. Take the money and get a new car rather than rebuild it on an old car with 300k miles.

How does it feel when you lose first gear? How do you work around not having that gear?
Well it no longer goes into first gear, pretty sure it's not the shift linkage. To get around not having that gear I just start in second.

i had a Pontiac in high school without reverse, but it would fly with the 350!
