[Solved] IAC valve grey silicone gasket

Hi Scotty, I hope you are doing well. I'm working on this 2000 Toyota Hilux 2.4 2RZ that I bought a few months ago. I took apart the the intake to do a deep clean and the gasket for the IAC valve is still soft but it is slightly cracked on a corner. I made a Loctite grey silicone gasket as a place holder because I misplaced the gasket temporarily. I'm having trouble finding someone to sell me just the gasket. Is it safe to drive around on that silicone gasket? Should I just buy a new valve? In that case, should I go OEM or is aftermarket viable?

I should mention, getting parts for this truck is easy where I am.

My truck and I thank you for all you do Scotty

valve and gasket

PS: Your recent video about "smart" headlights was so on point because I just replaced both of my tail lights for 45 dollars, bulbs included

As long as it doesn't leak it should be fine

I keep a sheet of gasket paper around just so I can make my own if I can't get one.  Available at any parts store.
