Hi Scotty! Thks for all you do.Its been a great help and has given a lot of confidence in fixing car myself after watching your videos. I own a 2017 Honda Accord Sport Special Edition. I was looking at a video for installing "K&N High Performance Air Intake System" and removing the factory installed one.
Just wanted to ask if it is worth buying it ( its 300 USD on Autozone) to increase the horsepower or its just only the sound it makes etc.
Does the inner engine components wear too prematurely if you install these filter system due to high air intake?
I did read that they are illegal in California. Your advice on this will be greatly appreciated.

If you’re after horsepower, take @daywalker ’s advice & invest in good quality bumper stickers. The better the quality, the more the horsepower gains.
I guessed the price of this one exact. Lol.

Don't waste your money on an intake. Unless you are planning on doing other modifications, there's no need for one.
They are illegal in California for emissions reasons.
These are a complete waste of time and money.
But it sounds good…
