Intermittent revving after MAF/Throttle body clean

Hi Scotty,

I followed your video to clean the MAF sensor and throttle body. After two weeks, the car is still intermittently revving to 1500-2500 RPMs while the car is in motion. Once I come to a stop, the car begins to slowly come back to idle and stops revving.

Is the ECU still recalibrating or do I need to buy a new MAF sensor?

Thanks!

There is no check engine light.

Most vehicles after manually moving the throttle plate during cleaning require the idle speed to be programmed and just driving it will not fix it. Proper idle speed needs to be programmed not guessed by driving

How do you suggest I reprogram the throttle plate after moving it then?

You’d have to take it somewhere with a scan tool capable of performing it. You could call independents or take it to the dealer

Thank you!
