Is a 2010 Lexus ES 350 with 131,000 miles a good buy? I’m concerned about the high mileage, but also believe in the reliability and dependability of Lexus. I reviewed the Carfax and it appears that the car has been well maintained. I will get a pre-purchase mechanical inspection before considering going through with the purchase.

Don't believe Carfax. Ask for receipts for any work or maintenance that has been done.
Those cars have sticky dash issue. About that specific car, the rims are not original and the car itself is too clean and shiney for its age ( which is not a good sign especially if you buy from a dealer). Make sure your mechanic checks everything.
