Is it important to adjust valves when changing spark plugs on a 2002 4 cyl auto honda accord?

I recall your mention that 6 gen accord 4 cyl motors need valve adjustment. Intuitively, has me wondering; if the activation energy in the newly replaced sparks, changes, it's gonna impart different force on valves, meaning if valve gap tolerances already marginal, the new spark may make valve adjustment higher priority. Does that make any significant sense?

Regardless of the spark plugs, if you have not done the valve adjustment recently, you should do it to have optimal performance. Btw, the valve adjustment on Hondas are not only for 4 cylinder engines, it should be also done for 6 cylinder ones as well.

ALL Honda motors should get the valves adjusted every 5 years/60k miles for optimal performance and engine life.

Even the newer 1.5, etc, turbos?

Yes sir. All of Honda's motors have old school valves and require adjustment.

It doesn't matter.  The spark plugs are only energized when the valves are closed.  Whatever "force" difference there is between old and new plugs is irrelevant.  I adjust mt valves with every oil change.
