I've got a strange one and I'm not finding a lot of help from Google...
I've got a 2006, Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 3.7 L 6 Cylinder. Runs pretty good, I do the maintenance. It's at about 170 K mileage.
The cruise control used to work fine, but lately when I turn it on it acts like I just floored the thing and zooms off. I have to tap the brakes and turn off the Cruise. Any ideas what I can check before I fork over a big wad of cash to the mechanic?

Unfortunately all those cruise control systems are computer run and without a dealer level scan tool you'll never be able to work on those things most people will just give up and have an aftermarket unit put on rather than attempt to fix the insanely complex dealer installed on
