Clarification: what do you mean by good?

As reliable.

They're both good cars. Depends on what you want out of either one.

I like both, I was just concerned about if the 6 cylinder was as reliable as the 4 cylinder. After reading my initial post I realize I wasn't very clear sorry about that.

I like hp, but I also like to work on my own cars and there is hardly any room in the V6 engine bay. Except for what you can access from the top; everything else is buried and more difficult to get to than the I-4. Go to one of the forums and read up on them and see what issues people are having with them.    toyotanation.com/forums

When you say good, do you mean power/performance wise? If yes, absolutely, they have plenty of juice.

If you meant reliability, the 4cyl will be cheaper to maintain and may probably last longer, but the V6 isn’t bad either.

I suggest you test drive both & see how they both perform on your daily commute.

All the best!

I should have put as reliable. I'm not worried about mileage. I have driven a 2019 camry xse 4 cylinder and a 2020 camry 6 cylinder I cant say I dislike either.

Both of the engines are excellent engines so buy whichever one you prefer.

I think the 4 cylinder would be better in the camry but the v6 is super fast and so fun to drive, so I would personally go for a v6 because both last pretty long anyway. I think the new 8 speed automatic can handle the 302 hp while still maintaining pretty good fuel economy.

You can either get a V6 and have it last for 300k miles or get a 4 cylinder and have it last for 320k miles. 4 cylinder Camrys are more reliable than the V6’s but not by much so just get whatever you like better. I got the 4 cylinder because I want better gas mileage. The barely noticeable reliability difference meant nothing to me since I don’t plan to keep it for more than 10 years anyway.

For longevity, I would not lose sleep over 4 vs 6 cylinder in a Toyota.  Just realize the total cost of ownership will be less (and easier to access parts and work in the engine bay) with the I4 than the V6, but overall both are still good.  If I were getting a new Camry, and while jury is still out on these newer Camry’s in terms of long term reliability, I would still take a V6 over the I4 just for the extra oomph.
